I have been getting asked if I have ever photographed an Indian wedding before and so I though I would post a few of the photographs from Eshwar and Nafisa’ wedding here. They were married back in 2004 and they flew me over to Bangalore, India to cover their celebration I had photographed a few Indian weddings before but this was my first real Indian wedding to photograph in India. it was awesome. There were festivities to cover for more than 4 days. And when I was not photographing the festivities, I went out on the streets of Bangalore to witness and photograph the life of that great city. It was an unforgetable trip.
I was still shooting film back then for weddings and shot more than 75 rolls of the wedidng, perhaps 2/3rds in black and white and the rest in color. I made the above candid wedding photograph with the panorama camera and really like this photo. the two below were also made with the same large format camera and are of the family of the bride and groom and the bottom was taken in Seatle where they had a second Moslem ceremony.

I have been meaning to put up Josh and Lindsey’s wedding panorama but was busy the last week covering the Bellevue Jazz Festival and then posting the photos to my jazz photography blog EyeShotJazz. Sorry for the delay.
I am looking forward to this weekend and the wedding of Elizabeth and Jason on Friday the 29th at Pioneer Park in Steilacoom and then to the Saturday May 30th wedding of Jennifer and Paul who are getting married at Freeland Hall on Whidbey Island. I had a wedding at Freeland Hall last year and for a Seattle photographer it is a great place to go and get away from the city to photograph a wedding.

Josh and Lindsey were married a week ago in Cincinnati,  Lindsey’s home town. they both live in Washington DC and work for Uncle Sam. They had wonderful weather the day of the wedding although it rained on Friday for the rehearsal dinner, the sun came out on Saturday and it allworked out in the end. Today I will begin to post ome of the photos and continue over the next couple of days.
I have finished the edit but still need to scan the wedding panorama and will post that last. The weather here n Seattle today is just too nice to spend too much time on the computer.

I photographed Karen and Tim up in the Skagit Valley tulips fields recently and loved the contrast between the beautiful colors of the flowers and the black and white of the bride and groom. It called out to me that it needed to be a panorama. Sometimes you just can not get wide enough with a normal camera.
