Golden Gardens Wedding Photography
March 31st, 2010
On the beach at Golden Gardens last September on a blustery and rainy Sunday, Jason Parker + Darrah Barth were married with a good turnout of their friends and family despite the weather. It did rain, but as typical, the rain came and went and left many open sun breaks where it was beautiful to see dramatic clouds in the skies above the waves. I wanted to mention the flowers they had for their wedding. Their Seattle floral design and wedding bouquet were provided by Amoreena, at Midnight Blossom, floral design. She did amazing work.I especially loved the fall color palette in the wedding bouquet.
SODO Park Wedding | Wedding Photography of Christine and Ryan
March 22nd, 2010
Ryan Ferrer and Christine Liebsack were married on the eve of Valentine’s Day at the First Free Methodist Church on Queen Anne. Above Christine is getting ready at the church. After the ceremony everyone headed over to the reception which was at SODO Park, a great place for a party with wonderful food provided by Herban Feast. I stayed behind for a little while at the church with Christine and Ryan, as they did a little cleanup of the rose petals on the aisle, and for their limo to arrive. We stopped by on the way to SODO Park, at Kerry Park, on top of Queen Anne, for some photographs with the Seattle skyline in the background.
Although all of the photos were originally shot in color, and will be presented in color in their slide show on the website shortly, I decided to convert the highlight pictures for the blog to black and white to show how great they work without any color. The black and white images look so classic and timeless. I usually convert a number for the final selection for my wedding albums an books because of this timeless factor. Here are the pictures I choose to highlight the wedding in black and white. They are mainly the candid photographs presented here. All of the rest will be in a web gallery in color along with the slide show on the main web site. A mention about Christine and Ryan’s first dance. they went right into it upon our arrival at Sodo Park. It was beautiful. It turned out they had been practicing for a while and had taken lessons with Angela at Our First Dance. It paid off as they floated across the dance floor.
Ryan and Christine were delighted to see the Valentine theme decorated wedding bed at their suite at the W Hotel as Ryan carried Christine over the threshold in the age old tradition. The giant heart made of chocolates surrounded by red rose petals took them by complete surprise as they entered their wedding chamber. It was after all the eve of Valentines Day so it might have been suspected that one of their friends or sisters might have sprung the surprise on them. I just had to post this one in color. Some pictures do look better for it.
There is a web gallery below here with the rest of the highlights.

Newcastle Golf Club Wedding | Michele and Tim’s Wedding Photography
March 16th, 2010
Michele and Tim were married at the Golf Club at Newcastle the place that is the “Best Sunset Wedding Spot” in the Seattle area, according to Seattle Bride Magazine and it is hard to argue with them. Tim Sheehan, who has the same family name as I, but we are not related, married Michele on one of those perfect Seattle summer days in the first week in July and as promised the sunset was indeed stunning. After the sun set into the Pacific Ocean behind the Olympic Mountains, there was still some twilight with which to see the sprinklers watering the greens catching highlights off the afterglow on the golf course.
I wanted to post some of the highlights from their wedding here. It was hard to choose so at the bottom if you want to see more I will add a web galley with some additional selects of my favorite pictures that tell the story of their wedding day.
The Golf Club at Newcastle has some fantastic panoramic views and a majestic English Manor-style clubhouse, and of course if you are into golf, a great and challenging course with views extending out over Lake Washington and the City of Seattle to the Olympic Mountains to the west.

As for weddings it was a great venue too with the ceremony outside in a white tent that has perfect light to photograph a wedding in to the terrane as place for cocktails with a view to the dinning room with some of the best food in the region.

Did I mention that the cake was really yummy?
Erica and Scott stop for a kiss after their wedding ceremony at the Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club with a spectacular view of Mt Si and the Cascade Mountains in the background, as some dark clouds move off to the north. Here are a selection of highlights from all of the photos that were made.
Erica and Scott were blessed with great weather to suit the naturally beautiful setting of their wedding ceremony and reception. They were so much fun to work with and watch them with all of their friends and family over the course of the day.
