Last month Jana and I photographed on of my last weddings of 2014 at Willows Lodge in Woodinville, Washington. Caryn Landau and Andrew Walter were married in a wonderful ceremony in the garden pavilion. Andy’s children Maddie and Jake were a big part of the day from the beginning to the end. In fact there were a whole lot of children at the wedding and many activities were planned with them in mind including a visit by Santa Claus who handed out presents to all of them.
Thanks to Jenn Wennman, of Willows Lodge who helped coordinate their wedding and to my wife Jana for being my second photographer.

For my last wedding of 2014 on Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding ceremony of Shauna and Matthew at the landmark Arctic Club Hotel and it’s Northern Lights Dome Room, one of my favorite places for a wedding. Shauna and Matthew are off to Mexico at the moment so I wanted to share with the a preview of some highlights of the day. After I have had time to edit and process the rest of the pictures I will post some more here. Have a great 2015!

Right after the wedding ceremony of Ainslie Wagner and Derrick Clark at the chapel at Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island, everyone walked down to the Hotel De Haro and I climbed up to the second stage and photographed the whole wedding party including all of the guests. I love this view with the harbor in the background. What a wonderful day it was.

On October 18th, Jana and I photographed the destination wedding of Ainslie Wagner and Derrick Clark at the Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island. The Hotel de Haro there is the state’s oldest continually operating hotel in business since 1886. The resort was formerly a company town surrounding the Tacoma and Roche Harbor Lime Company, which was incorporated in 1886. Lime production was a major industry and for a time it was the largest lime works east of the Mississippi. Many of the historic structures remain along with some modern resort facilities.
Ainslie and Derrick’s wedding was very romantic and perfect in every way. Although the weather was rainy the days leading up to the wedding day, on the morning of the 18th it was clear and sunny. The wedding ceremony was in the chapel on the hill above the harbor. Their friends and families were a lot of fun to be around. Jana and I had a blast and the weekend was one we will remember for a long time.
Here are some of my favorite highlights from their wedding day. At the bottom is a slideshow of a more complete set of images of their wedding.
Thanks to my wife Jana for once again being my fantastic second photographer.

Right after the wedding ceremony of Rachel Todd and Zach Klein in the garden at Thornewood Castle in Lakewood, Washington and before the reception we posed everyone at the wedding for this glorious large group wedding panoramic portrait.
