Many couples traditionally get engaged over the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays as evidenced by the huge increase in the number of couples contacting me to photograph their up coming wedding. This was the first time I got to witness the actual engagement moment.
Rick contacted me and told me he was gong to give Erin an engagement ring and pop the question the day after Christmas. He asked if I would tag along and take some photographs to document the moment. I was delighted to accept his proposal. Here is a selection of pictures from that day we spent at the Olympic Sculpture Park. the day was kind of grey but at least it was not raining. Of course if you were waiting to hear Erin happily agreed to Rick’s proposal.

Erinn Houghton and Shawn Buckner  were married on a beautiful day aboard the historic MV Skansonia on Lake Union. After the ceremony we got everyone to assemble on the front of the old ferry and I made the panorama from up on the top deck.

The Tyee Yacht Club  also known as The Yacht Club on Lake Union was the scene of the wedding ceremony and reception of Judah Stevenson and Sarah Hess.   Sarah and Judah are such a creative, thoughtful and beautiful couple. The wedding was great. So too was the fabulous food provided by Ravishing Radish Catering. in fact The Yacht Club on Lake Union is the home of Ravishing Radish Catering so that was not a surprise. Sarah and Judah made their getaway as their friends and family looked on at the end of their wedding reception cruising to the The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland via the “Seneca” a 38 foot, 1958 Chris Craft. Below are some of the highlights of their wedding. Erinn Houghton and Shawn Buckner were one of my really fun wedding couples this past summer. They were married aboard the historic MV Skansonia on Lake Union on the last weekend in August. It was a hot day in Seattle.  Not a cloud in the sky. It was one of those few really sunny days we had this summer. It was a joy to photograph in the brilliant light.  Erinn and Shawn and their friends in the wedding party were all blast to photograph and we made a lot of pictures at Gasworks Park before the guests were due to arrive at the Skansonia. Here are some of the highlights of their day.
