I wanted to post a few sneak preview pictures from Blake and Wendy’s wedding on Saturday in Coupeville, Whidbey Island at the Captain Whidbey Inn.

It was an intimate wedding in a gorgeous location.  The Captain Whidbey Inn is a romantic turn of the 20th century inn  in a delightful original log building with charming waterfront cabins and more modern accommodations with a view of the lagoon. Above is Blake and Wendy’s wedding celebration on the deck overlooking the lagoon on a partly sunny and partly overcast day. After all of the rain all week, we all felt lucky to have the mild and bright day we got. Here a few other shots I just grabbed since I have yet to start on the edit. I had another wedding on Sunday on Crystal Mountain and that will be the next posting I make here when I have a chance to go over those images.

Liz and Eric live close by in the neighborhood so when it came time to make an engagement photograph it was a no brainer to head down to Golden Gardens Beach. The weather was a little cool and the sun looked good but when we got to the beach the wind became an issue. It was much stronger than back in the neighborhood. We made a few pictures with Puget Sound and the Olympics in the background down by the water like the one above but soon headed for the protection of the bath house which was great for blocking the wind and we made what was their favorite image below.

So I am look forward to warmer weather with less wind when photographing their wedding which is coming up fast at the end of May on the Skansonia.

On Saturday unexpectedly the weather was fine and the sun looked good so I called Casey and Cletus and we moved making some engagement pictures up by a day. They were getting ready to go to a friends wedding at the Hotel 1000 a little later in the evening but it worked out great. Jana and I met them at Kerry Park and we made some pictures with the Seattle skyline in the background before we headed off to explore Queen Anne and headed west. We made the above image, one of my favorites, at a little park under renovation but the bench was open and we had a lot of fun with it.

We finished up with the above setting and I think I like it the best. I look forward to photographing their wedding in October  on the Skansonia.

Right after Tova Emry and Jaime Zaret had their wedding ceremony inside the Willows Lodge, everyone headed outside where it was clear and cool but not raining for a wedding panorama group portrait. Tova and Jaime and their family and friends look so good together in this picture. I finished their 12×36″ print and it is fantastic to see the detail close up of everyone there. It will be a treasure to bring back all of the memories of the day. Here is a link  WILLOWS LODGE WEDDING PICTURES to the rest of the photos from their wedding that I previously highlighted on this blog. Congratulations to both of you.
