Linee and Michael were married on June 20th on board The MV Skansonia. and after the ceremony which was held inside because of the rain, everyone went outside since the rain had stopped, to the front of the boat for a large group wedding panorama. Once again the original print which measures 36 inches in length is full of detail that can not be seen on a computer monitor, but this gives you an idea of how it looks.

Immediately after Derrick Casey and Maria Holsman were married in an outdoor ceremony at the beautiful Kubota Garden last month, everyone assembled for a large group wedding panorama portrait. Using a larger format panorama camera I got everyone at the wedding in one moment on a black and white film negative. Then I scanned it and printed it as a 12″ x 36″ long print. Most of my wedding clients find the wedding panorama to be the one picture from their wedding that they want to hang on their wall. As far as I know I am the only Seattle wedding photographer offering this service and I include it in every wedding package if the circumstances of the wedding allow us to make one.

The large group wedding panorama of all of Mychal and Sunita’s family and friends taken after the wedding ceremony.

Mychal and Sunita had a traditional Indian wedding at the Alderbrook Resort and it was spectacular. The Alderbrook Resort and Spa have stunning views of the Olympics and the Hood Canal. The Indian wedding ceremony was held outdoors right on the water front and so the views were in the background of most of the wedding pictures. I will post some more from this wedding soon.

This panaramic large group wedding portrait shows everyone at Sheryl and Andy’s wedding in July, which was held at the wonderful The Ruins, one of the best kept wedding secret venues in Seattle. It looks plain and industrial on the outside but extravagant and opulent on the inside. All of the family and guest were invited to come outside so we could make their  large group wedding panorama right on the sidewalk in front of the entrance to The Ruins. On a computer monitor, these panoramas look kind of puny compared to the original print I give Sheryl and Andy which measured 12″ x 36″.  At that size you can clearly see all the detail of everyone in the photo. The Ruins is a most interesting venue with some really great food. It is mainly a private dining club. My first visit there was to photograph the rehearsal dinner for Conan O’Brien and his bride to be Liza Powel.

Immediately after the wedding ceremony of Kerri Higgins and Graham Sheldon at McCurdy Park and the Museum of History and Industry,  MOHAI on August 15th we had everyone in attendance line up on the waterfront where the ceremony had just taken place for a large group wedding panorama, my signature trademark photo. The light was perfect and the setting was fantastic with Lake Washington and the Montlake cut in the background.

I just got back from making some engagement photos on the top of Queen Anne at Kerry Park of a wonderful young couple. Lauren and Jeremy are getting married on September 5th and I am so looking forward to shooting their wedding. I will put up another shot when I finish my edit of these photos. It was a perfect day today and the visibility was fantastic. Mount Rainier was so clear, it looked like you could almost reach out and touch it.

Jennifer Ulrich and Paul Geoffrion were married on Whidbey Island at Freeland Hall on May 30th. The outdoor service by Patricia Stimac was sweet right afterwards we made this large group wedding panoramic portrait of everyone in attendance. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding; the sky and water were blue and the sunshine was fine. Soon to come after some editing wil be the candid wedding photographs.

Elizabeth and Jason were married around noon last weekend at Pioneer Park  in Steilacoom, WA. It was in the middle of this great stretch of fantastic weather we have been having. My specialty is candid wedding photography and the vast majority of wedding photos I make are indeed candid photos, but I really like to capture the moment when everyone gets together and poses for the whole wedding panorama. Most people going to a wedding are not included in the wedding photos. I think they should be. This is the large group wedding panorama portrait of everyone at Elizabeth and Jason’s wedding. OK, well maybe it is not a large group, compared to some weddings where they have more than 400-500 in attendance, but is was large compared to the smaller groups of the family and wedding party. Elizabeth was so sweet and Jason, a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, getting ready to head out for 0verseas duty soon, looked so correct and dashing in his formal dress uniform.

I really like the look of these panoramic black and white wedding photographs. A beautiful and intimate wedding with a view of the Olympics and Puget Sound. The Pioneer Park Pavilion in Steilacoom, WA. was a great place on a wonderful day. I will post some of the other wedding photos later on in the week as I finish editing them. There are a lot of great candid wedding photographs I look forward to sharing.
