Blake Scholl and Wendy Tong were married last month at the historic Captain Whidbey Inn on Whidbey Island, Washington.

Blake and Wendy had an intimate wedding celebration at the historic Inn which celebrated its 100th year in 2007. The romantic turn of the century Inn still has its original timbered walls and ceilings, stone fireplaces and dining room, and was constructed with native trees harvested on the property in 1907 on the shore of Whidbey Island’s Penn Cove. Friends and family came up from California for the event and the weather held for a partly sunny and partly overcast day. After all of the rain the week before, I felt lucky to have the mild and bright day we got. Here are a few highlights of the day and below is a mini slideshow of about 40 wedding photos. Here is a link Captain Whidbey Inn Wedding to the photos that I previously highlighted on this blog right after the wedding. Share on Facebook Tweet

The voice of the singer was really magical and added a wonderful feeling to the wedding ceremony.

I love it when I see many of the guests taking pictures at a wedding. I like to take pictures of them taking pictures. Below is a view of what one of them was seeing as they were taking pictures of the bride and groom during the ceremony.

After the ceremony Blake and Wendy jumped for joy together and also again with the entire wedding party jumping with them below.

Below is a mini-slide show with these and some more wedding photography highlights from Wendy and Blake’s at the Captain Whidbey Inn. Click on toggle thumbnails to hide them; to start just click on the right arrow on the image.

I wanted to post a few sneak preview pictures from Blake and Wendy’s wedding on Saturday in Coupeville, Whidbey Island at the Captain Whidbey Inn.

It was an intimate wedding in a gorgeous location.  The Captain Whidbey Inn is a romantic turn of the 20th century inn  in a delightful original log building with charming waterfront cabins and more modern accommodations with a view of the lagoon. Above is Blake and Wendy’s wedding celebration on the deck overlooking the lagoon on a partly sunny and partly overcast day. After all of the rain all week, we all felt lucky to have the mild and bright day we got. Here a few other shots I just grabbed since I have yet to start on the edit. I had another wedding on Sunday on Crystal Mountain and that will be the next posting I make here when I have a chance to go over those images.
