On a wonderful hazy and slightly overcast day in mid-May Casey Blackstead and Brandon Wagner were married at the Sanctuary at Admiral in West Seattle, a beautiful old church of the Christian Scientists that was re-designed into a wedding and events venue and was designated as a Seattle Historic Landmark in 2009. Brandon arrived at the Sanctuary suffering from a cold but after some soup he started to feel a lot better. The wedding day went really well after that. Casey wore a beautiful vintage wedding dress and Brandon sported a bow tie. Right after the ceremony and the panoramic photo I hopped into the front seat of a classic white Rolls Royce, and with Casey and Brandon in back we went out for an after wedding ceremony milkshake. It was fun and typical of the fun time everybody had at their wedding.
The food provided by the Portage Bay Cafe, was amazing, from the oysters and other appetizers to the wonderful pies they had instead of a wedding cake. Another great thing about the day was they had a Green Wedding. Seattle’s first green DJ, Bamboo Beats Entertainment provided the music. Kristen Tsiatsios of Jubilee Event Engineers was the fabulous wedding coordinator. Kristen did a wonderful job of planning and detailing the whole day.
Jana Sheehan, was my second photographer, and we both loved the ending of the wedding night when they all lighted lanterns and watched them float off into the blue night sky. What follows is a selection of some of my favorites of Casey and Brandon’s wedding. At the end on the bottom is a slideshow of a set of 60 pictures that tell the story of their day.

Casey Blackstead and Brandon Wagner were married last Saturday at the Sanctuary at Admiral in West Seattle on a wonderful May Saturday. Rain had been predicted but it never showed up. They are such a great couple and even though Brandon was suffering a cold, after some chicken soup before he got dressed he was good to go. The Sanctuary at Admiral in West Seattle.
