WILLOWS LODGE WEDDING PANORAMA

January 24th, 2012

PANORAMA

Tova Emry and Jaime Zaret had their wedding ceremony inside the Willows Lodge and just after the end of the ceremony, everyone headed outside where it was clear and cool but not raining for a wedding panorama group portrait. Tova and Jaime and their family and friends look so good together in this picture. Here is a link  WILLOWS LODGE WEDDING PICTURES to the rest of the photos from their wedding that I previously highlighted on this blog.

The weather has been up and down this past week and so I was apprehensive about how it would come out because I was asked to photograph Tova Emry and Jaime Zaret wedding on Saturday at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville, WA. It turned out not to be too bad for a northwest winter weekend wedding especially considering how bad it was almost everywhere else in the country. We were able to do all the pictures we wanted outside in the garden and grounds. The rain held off and when it did return we were all indoors for the ceremony.

It was a smaller wedding with mainly their family and some close friends in attendance but there was a warm and intimate feeling in the room that was great.

I again had a great time photographing a wedding  at the Willows Lodge with its garden just across from the famous Herb Farm restaurant,  a great location   and a perfect place for a wedding with wonderful food. Here are a few photos for a quick look. It will take some time to go through all of the images and get them up here in a web gallery but these few shots will have to do until then.

A flock of sheep grazing in the pasture at the Woodinville winery venue of DeLille Cellars.

Mandi Mitchell and Jason Wagner chose DeLille Cellars as the venue for their wedding and it is one of my favorite places for a wedding too. Their wine is world class and the setting is fantastic both inside the cozy  chateau and outdoors around  the grounds. I selected some photos from their wedding in October here to show what a beautiful wedding day they had despite the weather going from sun to showers it still turned out delightful. Some highlights are here and a mini-web gallery slide show is at the bottom of the post.

I liked Megan Whitney and Jonathan Kinney the first time we spoke. They are from the Seattle area and live in New York and I am originally from New York and have lived in Seattle since 1996. They called asking me to photograph their wedding on September 4th, and so it came to pass. They were married deep in the heart of the Snohomish Valley, WA  at Craven Farm with authentic country barns, open corn fields with the corn up above 6 feet high and groomed gardens surrounding the wedding barn. It is a great place for a country wedding less than an hour from the Seattle.

Instead of choosing to have the ceremony near one of the barns they picked the middle of a square patch of grass surrounded on all sides by the sky high corn. The weather held out and it was a beautiful day and evening with a lot of dancing late into the night. Just as they were getting ready to leave the skies did open up with a shower and so they were sent off with the good luck of rain on their wedding day. Megan and Jonathan had help coordinating their wedding day from Kaitlyn Reedy and Tonya Patterson working with Nichole & Brie’n of Bella Vita Planning & Paper Co. who did a fabulous job. Herban Feast. did the catering and provided beautiful and tasty food as usual. They have a way with salmon.  Here are a few of the highlights from their wedding and at the bottom of this post is a mini-gallery  to give you a better sense of the joy and beauty their country wedding day.

After the ceremony everyone assembled for a panoramic group picture which I will post after it is ready. After the panorama we made some smaller group family portraits in the same place.

I had photographed Mollie and Justin’s engagement in the Seattle Arboretum last year and we had a good time walking around making pictures there and it was fun working with them. Months later then I again had a great time photographing their wedding at Willows Lodge in Woodinville, WA The garden at the Willows Lodge, which is just across from the famous Herb Farm restaurant, is a great location for an outdoor wedding and the ballroom perfect for a reception. Mollie and Justin had a warm, and wonderful wedding there. The wedding ceremony was in the gazebo which was really stunning and was adorned by a beautiful floral arrangement. I like shooting weddings there because there are so many places to go off and do pictures with different backgrounds. The panorama large group portrait was easy to do there as well. I will post it sometime later. Here are some selected highlights and a web gallery with some more just below.

Mollie and Justin asked me to shoot them with this sign for the thank you card they were planning to send out to their guests.
