TOVA AND JAIME’S WEDDING AT THE WILLOWS LODGE, WOODINVILLE, WA
March 11th, 2011
Tova Emry and Jaime Zaret were married in a beautiful, simple ceremony at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville, WA. Feb. 5th. It was a small wedding with only their families and a few close friends in attendance but there was a warm and intimate feeling in the room that was beautiful. Tova and Jaime had a great time and were pretty relaxed and enjoyed their wedding day. Here is a link Tova & Jaime Wedding Pictures to the web gallery with all of the pictures from their wedding
The weather was not too bad for a northwest winter weekend considering how bad it was elsewhere in the country. We were able to do all the pictures we wanted outside in the garden and grounds. The rain held off and when it did return we were all indoors for the ceremony. I love the garden at the Willows Lodge even in winter. Somehow, even when it is cold and overcast it still has a warm feeling to it. Here is a link Willows Lodge Wedding Pictures to the blog post with pictures from their wedding that I posted immediatly after the wedding on Feb 6th.
The rooms have a warm and inviting look and the food and service is excellent. I will highlight a few pictures here and include them in the more extended mini-slideshow at the bottom of this post below.

DeLille Cellars Wedding Photography of Mandi and Jason’s Wedding Celebration in Woodinville, WA
December 16th, 2010
A flock of sheep grazing in the pasture at the Woodinville winery venue of DeLille Cellars.
Mandi Mitchell and Jason Wagner chose DeLille Cellars as the venue for their wedding and it is one of my favorite places for a wedding too. Their wine is world class and the setting is fantastic both inside the cozy chateau and outdoors around the grounds. I selected some photos from their wedding in October here to show what a beautiful wedding day they had despite the weather going from sun to showers it still turned out delightful. Some highlights are here and a mini-web gallery slide show is at the bottom of the post.

Craven Farms Wedding Photography of Megan & Jonathan’s Wedding Celebration
December 5th, 2010
I liked Megan Whitney and Jonathan Kinney the first time we spoke. They are from the Seattle area and live in New York and I am originally from New York and have lived in Seattle since 1996. They called asking me to photograph their wedding on September 4th, and so it came to pass. They were married deep in the heart of the Snohomish Valley, WA at Craven Farm with authentic country barns, open corn fields with the corn up above 6 feet high and groomed gardens surrounding the wedding barn. It is a great place for a country wedding less than an hour from the Seattle.
Instead of choosing to have the ceremony near one of the barns they picked the middle of a square patch of grass surrounded on all sides by the sky high corn. The weather held out and it was a beautiful day and evening with a lot of dancing late into the night. Just as they were getting ready to leave the skies did open up with a shower and so they were sent off with the good luck of rain on their wedding day. Megan and Jonathan had help coordinating their wedding day from Kaitlyn Reedy and Tonya Patterson working with Nichole & Brie’n of Bella Vita Planning & Paper Co. who did a fabulous job. Herban Feast. did the catering and provided beautiful and tasty food as usual. They have a way with salmon. Here are a few of the highlights from their wedding and at the bottom of this post is a mini-gallery to give you a better sense of the joy and beauty their country wedding day.
After the ceremony everyone assembled for a panoramic group picture which I will post after it is ready. After the panorama we made some smaller group family portraits in the same place.

Wedding Photography at Mary and Michael’s Wedding at St. Joseph’s Church and The Willows Lodge
May 16th, 2010
The weather has been really nice this week and so it has been hard to stay in and edit photographs but I did manage to finish editing the wedding pictures of this wedding. Mary Bright and Michael Ferrante were married at St. Joseph’s Church in Issaquah on April 10th. It was a beautiful day for a northwest spring weekend wedding. I again had a great time photographing a wedding reception at The Willows Lodge in Woodinville, WA The garden at the Willows Lodge just across from the famous Herb Farm restaurant, is a great location and a perfect place for a wedding reception with great food. I also enjoyed the great music provided by the band Jazz Unlimited who played throughout the reception, including providing some good tunes to dance to. Here are a few photos to start and below is a web gallery with the complete set of 32 images I wanted to display to show off the highlights their wedding day.
Although most of the pictures were shot in digital format I did shoot three rolls of black and white film with my Leica and 35mm lens. I find I still love to see the crispness of the original negatives, even if I do then scan them and view them digitally. The grain of Tri-x has such a different look from a digital frame.

Mary and Michael wanted a wedding portrait with the ruins of this old tree in front of The Willows Lodge. It must have been a grand example of an old growth tree before it died.

The tables were beautifully set.
