WHAT TO EXPECT
DANIEL SHEEHAN, PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHER
After 15 years as a photojournalist, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Daniel Sheehan in 1997 began covering weddings in addition to his editorial and corporate work. Shooting that first wedding was a revelation. The experience of capturing the emotions of that one day – the love and joy that comes of committing to a life together – sparked a new passion for Daniel, himself caught up in a long love affair with his wife, Jana.
Wedding photography calls upon all the skills Daniel polished working as an international photojournalist, capturing life's moments, covering breaking news and sports events, and shooting food, fashion and portraits for magazines. He spent a number of years photographing fashion in New York, Milan, London and Paris, and even covered a couple of Superbowls. Daniel has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Haiti, the former Soviet Union and the first bombing of the New York World Trade Center in 1993. But being so in love with Jana makes him a softy at heart.
